Virginia election officials are preparing for a high voter turnout next week, as the number of registered voters has increased 10 percent in the state in the lead up to the election. .
The State Board of Elections has said that in the week leading up to the October 6 registration deadline, the agency received over 44.000 calls and had over two milhoa hits on its Web site.
