NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
WASHINGTON. VIRGINIA Node# is hereby given that the Tbwn Council of the Tbwn ot Washington, Virginia (the Tfewn) will hold a public hearing to receive public comment ana to consider the adoption of a proposed Ordinance and Resolution authorising the issuance by the Tbwn of a general obligation revenue bond in an aggregate principal amount up to $4,QQQa)QQ (the Bond) in order to pay capital costs to (I) acquire, construct and equip a new wastewater treatment plant and sewer system facilities relating thereto, including reimbursement to the Tbwn lor certain prior expenditures in connection therewith, and (it) pay costs of issuance (collectively, the Prelect). Virginia Resources Authority (VRA). in a letter to the Tbwn dated February 25. 2QQ8, advised the Tbwn that the State Water Control Board has authorised a 0% interest rets loan from Virginia Water Facilities Revolving Fund being administered by VRA in order for the Tbwn to pay such costs of the Project. The Bond will be a general obligation of the Tbwn. secured by its full faith and credit pledge. In addition, the Bond will be secured by a pledge of the revenues of the water and sewer systems of the Tbwn. The public hearing, which may be continued or adjourned wilt be held before the Tbwn Council at 7: 3Q p.m. on Wednesday. November 12. 2008. in the Tbwn Hall located at 485 Gay Street in Washington. Virginia 22747. Any person interested m the issuance of Vie Bond or the purpose for which it is being issued may appear at the hearing and present tvs or her views. The Council may set time limits on speakers and other rules w>d procedures lor the conduct of this public hearing.
