Rieland has witnessed first-hand the explosive growth of digital media since being part of the team that launched the Discovery Channel’s Web site in 1995. During his tenure at Discovery Communications, he also has overseen the Web sites supporting the TV networks TLC, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, Science Channel and Discovery Health. Most recently he served as Senior Vice President of Digital Media for the Discovery Channel, a role that required him to-shape the strategy for how the popular brand could be extended to the various digital media platforms.
