Flint Hill 17-year-old Austin Burdick may or may not wear his heart on his sleeve, but his passion - for visual design - will be worn on the sleeves of many of his fellow Boy Scouts during the coming year.
It was the home-schooled Burdick’s design that was chosen recently for the Shenandoah Council of the Boy Scouts of America’s Centennial Celebration patch, to be worn on the front (in round format) or shoulder of the council members’ uniforms in 2010.
