R. H. Ballard has been trying to set up shop in this town for nearly two years and now he has finally done just that. Beneath the Thnya Richey Studio and Cordelia & Co., at 703 Main Street is a showroom large enough to house Ballard’s Fine Art, Ltd. He carries framed lithographs, antique and new rugs, and paintings by contemporary artists.
Steve Miller of AmissviOe is attempting to create what will be known as the Passage of the Armies in Rappahannock County. The Passage will be a trail for hiking, biking, and horseback riding and will include a car tour as well. Trail heads will be located in and near the villages of Amissville, Woodville, Sperryvifle and Chester Gap. The proposed trail heads could include parking areas, rest rooms, picmc areas and potential commercial ": enterprises, such as cafes, restaurants, and shops. ,
