Robert Lee Turman, 68, of Sperryville died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Fauquier Hospital. He was bom October 21, 1941 in Willis, VA to the late Glen H. and Rosie Howell Turman Mr. Turman had a passion for farming and wa$ a talented machinist. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Dana (De Shazo) Turman, two children, Mamie Lea Turman and Travis Sean Turman, one sister, Nancy Turman Cannaday and one brother, Joe D. Turman. Additional survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Alton Glen Turman and Buddy Richard Turman. The family received friends on Tuesday, December 22,2009 from 7 p.m. to 9pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jon Heddleston. Pallbearers were Joe D. Turman, Eric Richard Turman, Robert M. De Shazo III, John P. De Shazo, Lindsay S. De Shazo, Robert M. De Shazo IV, arid John S. Clark, Interment followed in Culpeper National Cemetery (New) with military honors provided by American Legion Post #330 and V.F.W. Post #2524.
