Beverly Hunter was, for 45 years, a professional researcher and manager in the fields geospatial technologies (GIS mapping) and of high-tech teaching and learning systems.
In 2005, her work with hundreds of volunteers and experts led to the creation of RappFLOW, which monitors and protects watersheds in and around Rappahannock County. She helped establish RappFLOW as a public charity and helped develop the organization’s goals and grant applications. Her work in water quality issues with the county and the Culpeper Soil & Water Conservation District has led to, among other benefits:
