The current issue of the Exira Journal contains a cut and announcement of George S. Guernsey, a well known and popular young man of that town, for the appointment of postmaster there to take the place of E. D. Powell, resigned. Mr. Guernsey, who has been connected with newspaper business since the days of his late father, the former publisher of the Exira Journal, is well qualified for the place he seeks and for some time has been employed in the Exira postoffice. He believes in publicity and is asking the support of his friends thro the newspaper. He is a clean, capable young man and the News hopes to see his petition, which bears the names of practically everyone in the country, land him the place.—Atlantic News
