The peach borers are at work. They are white grubs tunneling beneath the bark of peach trees at the surface of the ground. Although they have done most of their work already, yet this is the best time to get them. They are nearly full grown or may be even found in the cocoon. They may be located in the tree by the presence of gum and sunken spots in the bark at the crown. They begin to hatch from the cocoon about June 15. From that time they will be beyond control until another spring.
