I suppose that our nine previous Bucoesses had made us over-confident, or perhaps it was our anxiety that made us shaky, for we failed to win, being beaten by a score of 10 to 9. But, say, it was worth being licked that day to see how happy it made Harry Wright to save just one little game out of the ten we had pulled oft. He was so tickled that he had at last downed his hated rivals in a single game that he positively hugged O'Rourke. when he orossed the home plate and soored the winning run.
