California Nixons Dine At Meherrin Virginia hospitality was substi tuted for Washington f irmahty last Saturday as a little croup of Meherrin folks had a two-hour visit with Vice President Richard Nison's parents. There was quite a stir at Mrs. Allen's Tourist Home about f> 30 p. m . that day as Mr. and Mrs. Francis A Nixon, and a Mr. Gardner, of California, stopped for dinner en route to Washing ton. Protocol was forgotten as the little California group warmed up ui the friendly atmosphere cre ated by Meherrin folks. Mrs. Al len. Mrs. R. P. Poaa. Fred Schmidt. Harris Gee and Julian Price. It wijs two hours, a din ner. and much conservation later when the car drove once more on its way. One tidbit cf the conversation lias come to light: The elder Nix ons admire the State of Virginia.
