rJ'he month ol’ January may be an im portant milestone in the television of both amateur and professional football games. The Nat’onal Collegiate Athletic Association and National Football League (professional football) are involved with the problem during the month. As the reader may know, the NCAA has limited television of college games to one game a week. Many colleges object to this limited program and some feel that there should be no limit on television at all. On the other extreme, there are those who support the program and others who favor a broadened program, although not yet in favor of unlimited television. The Government is involved with the professional football league in that it claims the league’s limitations on television violate the anti-trust act. The Government also is critical of the college television pro gram. though this has not yet been brought into court. On January 26th, the National Football League goes into Federal Court in Phil adelphia defending itself against the Jus tice Department on the charge that its television limitation violates the Sherman Anti-Trust Act. if the Government is suc cessful in this case, the next step might
