We want to take this opportunity to thank the peo ple of Farmville and vicinity for their tine cooperation with us. for attending and donating to the skate party at HILL TOP ROLLER RINK Monday evening, spon sored by our own Jaycees. We especially thank our regular skating party from Lynchburg, Chase City, Richmond and other towns for coming this night in place of their regular night of skating. For reasons beyond our control the skating exhi bitioners who had promised us to come and give their act did not show up. However, we did learn later the Lynchburg skaters had car trouble, but at this writing we have not heard from the Richmond crew. We want to apologize for this disappointment to you and hope that you may on second thought realize the money you gave to see ami skate all. went to this worthy cause of helping in the research for the cure of this dread ful disease of POLIO.
