The August 27 issue of “The Virginia Standard,” a publication of the Life Insurance Company of Virginia, named Anthony Charles Romano as agent of the month and cited his fine work in the business.
Mr. Romano married Miss Lois ■Goode of Flint Hill and is a frequent visitor in the county,
The article gives his record of schooling and service in World -War II, and his subsequent employment with Grumman Aircraft Corporation. 5 '
“It is reasonable to assume that his experience as a Grumman employee gave him the idea of highflying, ’’states the article,4' which has characterised his record with Life-of-Virginia (insurance company). Such is surely a proper estimate of a young man who, being so persuaded by Associate Manager W. N. Brown, signed up as an agent in December of 1948 and got under way so promptly that he qualified double for both the Chicago and Miami conventions.” ■ ~
