Although July 25, 1951 was the deadline for most veterans of World War II for commencing education or training under the GI Bill, two classes of veterans will be able to go into college or graduate schools at the beginning of the 195fl-52 sessions.
Veterans who satisfactorily fin. ished their high school courses at the end of the 1950-51 school year will be permitted to enter 'college courses in this Fall’s ses- sions, if they have eligible training time remaining, Veterans’ Administration said. Under the same circumstances veterans who have finished their college courses at the end of the last school year will be permitted to enter graduate training this fall if they have training itme remaining.
Veterans in these two classes, VA said, must apply to the agency v for a supplemental certificate of eligibility for the training on or before the deadline for enrollment in the school he wishes to attend. In addition, it will be necessary that the veteran actually enroll in the course.
The applications for certificates of eligibility must be filled out both by the veteran and by the school he last attended, with the school certifying that his progress and conduct were satisfactory.
