MRS. IDA NCfAKES AYLOR
Funeral services for (Mr*. Ida Noakes Aylor, wife of Squire Kuben Aylor, of Sperryville, *ho died at University hospital Wednesday, September 5, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from Hopewell Baptist church, hvith Rev. L. M. Carroll and Rev, Banks officiating. Interment was in Sperryville cemetery.
Mrs. Aylor, 51, was the daughter of the late William Noakes v and Mrs. Louella Peyton Noakes of Rappaahnnock coijnty.
Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters and three sons: Miss Ethel Aylor and Mrs. Mary Ella Frye of Sperryville, George, Rickard, and Lewis Aylor of Sperryville; four sisters, Mrs. Dora Carter, Mrs. Ethel Cart6r of Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Ada Harrison of Rochester, N.Y., and Miss Elizabeth Noakes of Washington, D.C.; four brothers, Stonewall Noakes of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., Hugh Noakes of Rochester, N.Y., Lee Noakes of Pittsburgh^ Pa., and Silas Noakes of Boston, and one grandchild.
Active pallbearers were Thomas Wiggington, Walker Gordon, Howard Jones, Jimmy Harrison, Phillip Jones, vJohn Haney, Will Jackson, and Gaylord Butler. The members of the Women’s Circle acted as honorary pallbearers and flower bearers.
JOE REGINALD ANDES
Funeral services for Joe Reginald Andes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Andes of Sperryville, were held Wednesday afternoon, September 5, from Hopewell Baptist church with Rev. L. M. Carroll officiating.
Mr. Andes, 24, died at his home Monday, September 3. He is sur_vived by his parents, one sister,_ Juanita Andes; three uncles, Clarence Aylor of Culpeper, Reginald Aylor of Washington, and Alton Aylor of Detroit, Michigan; one aunt, Mrs. Russell Carter of Washington, and many other relatives and friends. There will he baptizing at the Saturday, September 15, at 2 p.m. Services at the church Sunday by the pastor, ReV. O. D. Jackson, act 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The members of First Bethlehem church wish to thank Col. and Mrs. Raley for making the church a present of a lovely Bible.
