Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Scott, of Castleton, Horace Williams, and Mrs. Helen Williams and daughter motored to Chester Gap Sunday afternoon.

Rev. S. Felton Carter and ReV. A. Paul Thompson were dinner guests on Friday of Mr. and Mrs.. C. B. Johnson.

Mrs. Charlotte Johnson, who has been spending the summer months at the home of her brother and sister-ih-iaw, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Dolph, returned to her home in New York Suhday. Mr. and Mrs. Dolph who have been touring in Europe, returned to New York Sunday. They'will arrive at their farm near Washington Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Partlow of Culpeper spent several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Gore and Mrs. Helen Bruce. They ” also visited Mr. and Mrs. J. Bari Wayland.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Updike of Front Royal are spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Kibler at Woodville. ~

Mrs. George Wood and Mrs. -Taylor Updike were in Charlottesville Friday through Sunday to be near their mother Mrs. J. R. Nethers, who is a patient at the University of. Virginia Hospital.

Dr. and Mrs. W. G. Pendleton were in Warrenton for the day. ^Monday.

Mr. and Mm ii. fit. Durden and family have returned to their home in Sperryville after a ten day’s visit with relatives in Macon, Georgia.. " ■ .

Mrs. W. G. Eastham was the guest of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Wade H. Massie, Jr., at “Lookout Heights” Thursday evening.

Rev. and Mrs. A. Paul Thompson left Tuesday for a vacation of two weeks with Rev. Thompson’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Thompson, at their home at Russellville, Mo. Rev. and Mrs. .Thompson were accompanied by Miss Helen Button. 1
