A county-wide meeting for discussions on these proposals will be held September 81, 1951 at 7:30 p.m. in the Courthouse in Washington, Virginia.

After 4-H meeting attempted to flx pump at school, but found it worn out and beyond repair, so called Mr. Gasque and reported same at Mrs. Cook’s request. _
Returning from Amissville/stop ped to see Jeremiah Atkins, Sr., about heifer vaccination, found him Cowing pastures in a back field. Found no one at home at Roadcap Atkins.
Dr. X. M. Graves called and said could vaccinate heifers on Thursday and Friday, September 13 and 14. See schedule* below:
Oh yes, about to forget we went .to Jr. Atkins’ home to see about, 4-H sow; saw condition, took Junior to phone so he called a vet. Professor Teske called to say he'g put on stop-drop spray demonstra? tion at Thomas Williams’ orchard Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Friday apd Saturday we completed spotting farms on maps and scheduling heifer vaccination for 3th and 14th, and wrote letters to owners.
On Saturday I stopped at Leon and Eleanor Greenaway’s farm to-' look over his recent livestock purchases and advised with him in general about same. Found them preparing to drench and trim feet of 26 commercial ewes recently* purchased from J. R. Myers, of Mt. Jackson ... a nice lot of ewes that should be the money-making kind. We also looked oyer a registered Angus herd of twelve cows jwith calves at side and the nice registered Hamp ewes we had gone over earlier before being delivered by Owen Thomas, purebred breeder at JRound Hill. Also looked at the stylish stud pofiy the Greenaways have recently purchased and which should prove a decided asset .to them as their -pony enterprise is proving quite popular among tourists attracted by the Greenaway’s farm sign located on their property on Route 211, southwest of Washington. Here is the heifer vaccination program for this week. Oh my aching back . . . Dr. Graves -must, be a wonder min . . . point is I ain’t and must show hiC to the farms!
