Mrs. Massie has worked as assistant in the office of the Commissioner of Revenue for some years and is thoroughly familiar with the work. During the past two months’ of her lpuband’e illness, she did the work of the office.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred M. Hickman announce the.engagement of Mr. Hickman’s daughter, Letitia, to Charles William Hurt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Werter Hobson Hurt of Culpeper.
Miss Hickman graduated from the George School in Pennsylvania, and attended Northwestern University and the University of Virginia.
Mr. Hurt attended VJM.I. and graduated from the University of Virginia. He is currently a third year student at the University of Virginia Medical School.
The couple plan to be married during the Christmas holidays, and will reside in Charlottesville.
