Mrs. William Curtis and daughter, Susie Ann, have returned home to Washington, D.C., after spending the week with Mrs. Curtis’s mother, Mrs. H. J. Racer.
Miss Lurena Zinn of. Columbus, Ohio, and Cpl. Frank Zirtn of Camp Kilmer, NJ.| spent a few days last week with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Zinn, at Amissville.
Mrs. Arthur Edmonds and daughters Dorothy and Rebecca of Front Royal, called on friends and relatives in Washington Sunday afternoon.
Misses Ebba, Della, and Beulah Hitt and Mrs. George W. Brown motored to Gaithersburg, Md., on Saturday to return with Miss Nettie Bontz who had been a guest in the home of the Misses Hitt for several weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Frazier, Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Sisk and daughter Millie, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Brown and children Mike and Carolyns were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Whorton.
Mrs. E. W. Hechler of Richmond motored to Woodville on Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Johnson who has been her guest, for the past ten days. While in' Richmond, Mrs. Johnson suffered a heart attack but she is improving and is able to be up and about the house.
The recent cloudy days have been a great disappointment to Capt. H. C. Warwick. His grandson is here for a visit and the* Captain was all prepared to loadi the baby and baby-buggy into the station wagon, drive into the town of Washington and spend a pleasant afternoon parading , up and down before the home of W. C. Campbell. The Captain wishes to impress Mr. Campbell with the fact >that he, too, is a grandfather. There is some speculation that /Capt. Warwick isn*t picking on Mr. Campbell in particular. The Captain merely uses that as an excuse to parade the grandson.
