Clara 4. With intensive practices and limited use. (Long rotation with no row crops, or cultivated in small acreages.

B. Not Suitable for Cultivation:

Clara 5. Without special practices. (Crazing land to fullest capacity; normal logging operations if in woodland.)

Class 8. With moderate restriction in use. (Rotation grazing; logging operations under soil protecting practices.)

Clara 7. With severe restrictions in use. (Limited grazing; highly selective logging operations.)

Clara 8. With or without special practices.- (Adapted to wildlife habitat only.)

To illustrate the factors considered in determining a class of land, here is a brief description of Class 1 land: It is first of all, land highly suitable for cultivation, for it does not have a permanently high water table; neither is it stony or spotted with rock ledges. Furthermore, row crops can be raised without appreeiablbe danger of erosion. Finally, it retails and supplies sufficient moisture and plant food to maintain the soil in a state of high productivity.

Thus we can see how the classification of land according to its capabilities is based upon the ability ..of. land to produce. Land, like people, varies in this ability.
