At the regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors yesterday Biorning, December 6, Mrs. Roberta K. Massie, Commissioner of ■avenue, with the help of the Board, was requested to select a nan as an assistant to make a Bouse-to-house canvas and assess Bie tangible and intangible property of every citizen in the county. K The Board recommended that Biis assistant be paid $200 per Bonth plus five cents per mile, Bnd that he be employed for six Bionths of the year. I The motion of recommendation Bras made by W. C. Campbell, seconded

by IH. B. Wood and carried By a vote of five to one, with A. E. Latham voting “no.” The mo* lion was stated; ‘That the ComBnisioner of Revenue of RappahanBock County be paid a salary of ■2600 a year, and, in addition, that the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County recommend that the Commissioner of Revenue Be furnished an assistant. This assistant to be a man, to, be paid! ■200 per month, plus mileage of Bve cents per mile, who is to visit (the property owners of Rappahanjnock County and assess all tangaEble and intangible property.”
