BIRTHDAY PARTY
In the honor of Josephine Bridgets Louemma Fletcher and Arthur Bridgett, a birthday party was given by Mrs. Nannie Starks and Mrs. Walter Bridgett. Those present were 'Louise Jackson, Margaret Fletcher, Jenetta Bailey, Catherine Turner, Mary Freeman, and Blondell Jackson. The boys consisted of Lawerence Jackson, Coleman Starks, Alfred Bridgett, Caroll Freeman, James E. Freeman, Charles Jackson and Franklin Jackson.
A concert by the Capitol City Choral Ensemble of Washington, D. C. will give a recital of 91 voices at the school auditorium of Washington, Virginia on Sunday afternoon, December 14, at 3 o’clock for the benefit of First Baptist Church. Both white end colored are- invited. Admission: adults f 1.00; children under 15 $.50.

A birthday surprise party was given Saturday night to Mrs. Hattie Jackson by her two daughters, Mrs. Ollie M. Jackson and Mrs. Mary Hunter. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. John Handey, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Handey, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ja&aon and family, Mr. and Mrs. Llyord Dade of Culpeper, Ann Hunter, Margaret Hunter, Ceorge Wallace, Kermit C. Wallace, of Woodville, Miss Borne Barbour of Woodville and Tommy Jackson of Woodville. Mrs. Jackson received many lovely gifts.
Miss Mary Jett spent the weekend with Miss Delores Bridgett.
