Never before have so many lots of outstanding apples been entered from Virginia in the Appalachian Quality Apple Club. It was truly a difficult job selecting the winners, and it is my pleasure to advise you that you have been selected as a member of the Apple Club for 1951.
As is customary, the suitably engraved sterling silver goblet honoring your achievement will be presented at the annual banquet of the Virginia State Horticultural Society. This will be held the night of Tuesday, January 8, at the Hotel Roanoke. I hope that you can be present to accept this award. ‘
