Oapt. and Mrs. H. C. Warwick had as thair guest* over the weekend Commander and Mrs. Charles Schank of Washington, D. C. Mr. and Mrs. Caston Caperton of Richmond spent Sunday with Cept. and Mrs. Warwick and Dr. and Mrs. J. P. Snead were Friday evening dinner guests of the Warwicks.

BUFFET SUPPER AT ERIN

Mr. and Mr*. R. E. Wood entertained at “Erin” at a buffet Supper on Saturday evening, followed by bridge. Those playing were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Thornton, Mr. and Mrs. John Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Dike Quaintance, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Estes, Mr. and Mrs. Irving R. Kilby, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Winfrey, Mr. and Mrs. William Lyne, Dr. and Mrs. J? P. Snead, Mr. and Mrs. Lucio Kilby, Mrs. Janie B. Jarvis, and Minor Lewis of Washington, D.C. High prizes went to Mrs. Joe Aylor and Minor Lewis; low, to Mrs. Lyne and C. E. Johnson.

The Womans Missionary Society of the Reynolds Memorial Baptist church met on Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. James Smith with Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Kathleen Lawerenee joint hostess. Mrs. Lawerence was in charge of the program. Rev. A. Paul Thompson conducted the devotional and gave a very interesting talk about Christmas. Eight members of the Reynolds Memorial Junior Choir sang a medley of Christmas carols. Following the program refreshments were served by the hostesses.

---yMRS, WAYLAND BREAKS ARM IN FALL ON ICE

Mrs. Ashby Wayland, of Washington, fell Monday evening as she was coming down the yard steps at her home and broke her left arm. She was taken to Front Royal hospital where she remained over night.
