Seven people emerged from a completely demolished automobile Monday morning about 5 o’clock after the ear had skidded on the turn at “Ginger Hill” near Washington. knocked down the guard rail and posts, and careened down the bank, landing with all four wheels in the air. Out of that wreck came six adults and a 3month old baby girl and not a bone broken.
Pfc. Fred Crorkin, his wife, and their infant daughter, fft. JuliUs Porazinaki and wife, and Pfc. William D. Brown and wife left Ft. Eustis about midnight Sunday, en route to their homes in Chicago for the Christmas holidays. At Ginger Hill, a sharp turn entering Washington from Sperryville, the car began to swerve, probably due to the icy roads, though the exact cause is unknown. Failing to regain control of the car, the passengers took a crash through the quard rail and landed in the field, down the bank.
