Mrs. Yale* Injured * In Auto Accident

A smash-up of-two cars on Thursday afternoon at the intersection of the highway near the •Pinks home in the F. T. Valley, resulted in * demolishing the cars, a Packard and a Ford, and sending four passengers to ^University Hospital. Mr. Haley, driver of the Packard with Mrs. Haley, Mrs. Harrietts S. Broy and Mrs. James M. Yates were occupants. Just as they were making the turn to the left a car driven by L.V. Merrill struck them causing the damage. Mrs. Yates suffered a bad scalp wound, multiple bruises and six broken ribs. ‘Mrs. Broy who received bruises was badly shaken up and suffered from shock. Mr. and Mr*. Haley escaped with only minor scratches. On .Saturday, Mrs. Broy and her party were able to return to Arlington.

Mrs. James Yates returned from the hospital on Monday to her home at the Lee Highway Hotel where she is said to he resting fairly 'comfortably.
