“Do you mean that the health office has to collect all the fox tails! Please, Mr. Settle, let us print it before Frances Thornton hears anything about it! If you'll just let us print that all fox tails and ears have to be delivered to the County Health Nurse, we won’t even charge for the advertisement—and we’ll pay the 20% amusement tax! We want to hear Mrs. Thornton when she finds it out!”
Mr. Settle is a peace-loving man and his refusal was firm and final. The paper couldn’t print that the fox tails and ears must be carried to the health office. However, Mr. Settle has discovered that the policy of “peace at any price” is sometime very expensive. The fox tails and ears were delivered to Mr. Settle—only some' people brought all the territory between the tail and ears, and now the clerk’s office is resplendent with carcasses. So far, the County Clerk has not divulged what method he will use to file them,
