O’Bannon delivered here yesterday. Tag No. 9060, 600- lb., choice. Teg No. 9061, 690 lb., prime. Tag No. 9062, 628 lb., prime. Tag No. 9063, 686 lb., choice. Tag No. 9064, 667 lb., choice Tag No. 9065, 624 lb., prime. Tag No. 9066, 582 lb., choice. Tag No. 9061 dressed 61.46 pet. Tag No. 9064 dressed 61.9 pet. Tag No. 9063 dressed 58.56 pet. Tag No. 9066 dressed 58.45 pet. Tag No. 9060 dressed 60.31 pet. Tag No. 9062 dressed 60.0 pet. Tag No. 9065 dressed 60.6 pet. Average 60.17 pet. . I think these cattle graded a little bit higher than was expected due to the fact that they were young, red boned cattle and being such, did not require the amount of finish that older cattle would have to have. Most of the primes were on the border line and I believe the grader gave us the benefit of the doubt. The reason I say this, is that I do not want other producers in the county to get the idea that older cattle with the same amount of finish could get into the prime grade.”
