Cancer Chairman

Hick* man of Washington, have been appointed campaign chairmen for the 1^52 Cancer Crusade in Rappahannock County, it has been announced by Mrs. Clark'Cullen of Front Royal, Commander of District 4, Virginia Division, American Cancer Society.

William R. Perkins, Jr., of Lynchburg, has accepted the position of state campaign chairman for the Virginia Division of the American Cancer Society in its battle to eradicate the secondhighest cause of death in the United States.

The national goal for this year's campaign has been set at $16,000,000. The American Cancer Society has a three-point program of research, education and service to cancer patients in its Crusade to save lives and alleviate human suffering.

The 1052 Cancer Crusade in Virginia will be launched at a meeting of key volunteer workers 4 from throughout the state on March 25 at 6:30 pan. at the Hotel Roanoke. .v
