The outcome of the disagreement was that there grew up three distinct bodies or denominations of Baptists there being three Baptist churches in and around tSperryville. - At the time of the last division, 1890-91, Elder Charles Lewis a Yates was pastor of the church. I The two .congregations continued " to meet-in the same church house until about 1916, at which time ■ *the Primitive Baptist Group began meeting in a new church building which they erected.
