Lewis N. Miller and Mrs. Collins Denny Jr., Mt. Vernon Stock Farm, Sperryville, have been accepted as members of The Holsteln-Friesian Association of America by action of the Board of Directors at their recent meeting in Roanoke.
The association is the world's largest dairy cattle breeders’ registry organization. Membership in the organization now totals over 42,300, represeptating every state in the Lbiion,
The Executive Board of the Blue Ridge Music Festival held a meeting m-thc-StuyvessnCScTTooT, Warrenton, on Monday evening, June 23, to make plans for the summer series of concerts at Avon Mills, Washington.
Five concerts will be presented in August this season—one vocal, One piano, and three orchestral concerts. One of the orchestral concerts will be given in Middleburg.
Adult memberships are being offered at $3.00 and student memberships at $2.00. Each membership entitles its holder to a choice of three of the five concerts and the privileges of attending the other two at the price of $1.00 per concert for adult members and 5Qp per concert for student members. A student is a person who is twelve years of age and over who is attending either public school or college. Admission for any child under twelve will be 50c per concert.
Mrs. D. D. Miller is County Memebrship Chairman and is now selecting her County District Chairmen. These chairmen will be announced at a later date. -
The Executive Board is formulating plans to have sight-seeing transportation companies to include the concerts at Avon Mills in their sightseeing tours. -
