Aliss Peggy Ann Green spent last week at the summer “Music Camp Festival” which was held at Massanetta Springs.
Dr. Homer Luttrell and son of Pulaski were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Luttrell. Miss Joy Herrington of Arlington is visiting her grandmother, Mrs. Charles Moss. Mrs. Standish Riley has her neice visiting her from Florida. Mrs. John Tapp and daughter, Mrs. James Doyle and Miss Laura Doyle were in Front Royal on Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. Charles Compton visijed her sister, Mrs. Joseph Button of Culpeper Sunday afternoon.
Rev. and Mrs. Francis W. Allison and daughters, Peggy, and Betty were guests Wednesday night and Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller of Maple Springs. On Thursday Miss Belle Strother w«\s a supper guest in the Miller home and Miss Ruth Stevens and R. L. Brown had lunch with the Millers on Friday.
Dr. and Mrs. Edwin Eastman. were among those who were dinner guests of Mrs. Alexandria Gordon Sunday evening. Betty Lou Atkins was a week-end guest of Dr. and Mrs. Edwin Eastham of Front Royal. Mrs. Edward Tapp of Washington, D. C spenti the weekend with her husband, Edward Tapp in Amissville.
Rev. Furman Hall of Richmond preached his trial sermon on Sunday at the Flint Hill Baptist Chureh, He is a graduate of Wake Forest College and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary of Louisville, Kentucky. Rev. Hall was extended an invitation from the deacons of the Flint Hill and Washingtb#Churches to hecbme pastor of both churches. Rev. Hall has another call, so he will make his decision at a later date., Mrs. A. M. Vemer and daughter, Elizabeth ^were dinner guests on Friday at the Lee Highway Hotel of C. O. Coates. The dinner was given in honor of Mr. Coates’s neice, Elizabeth who was celebrating her fourteenth birthday. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Updike had as their dinner guests, Mrs. Updike’s mother and sister, Mrs. A. M. Vemer and Elizabeth. Mr. and Mrs. D. 1). Miller spent the week-end with Mrs. Miller's family in Richmond and Essex..
