crop, number of cows milked and milk production, the number of ewes on farms and the number of lambs saved, and some information concerning chickens. About 5 minutes will be required to fill out this card •which can be put back in the mailbox to be collected by the mail carrier. The Department of Agriculture has been making this survey for more than 25 years and the informa- lion given by farmers has enabled the Department to make accurate State estimates of the pig and lamb crops and of milk production and fkmltry numbers. This is a sample survey as only a small percentage of the farmers are asked to fill out the card. It is, therefore, important that everyone who receives a card fill it out promptly in order that the results may be accurate. The information from these cards ■ is only used for making County and State estimates. I can assure you that information to be published will be very helpful to you and to me in following the trend of livestock numbers in this county and in knowing what livestock numbers are doing throughout the State and County. So please take a few minutes as soon as you get this card and fill it out for your farm.
