Add to this the many gallons ot water required on wash day—it means many hours of just plain drudgery. This drudgery can be eliminated by installation of satisfactory water system in your home. On the average it’ll cost about 5c to pump 1,000 gallons of water and put it under pressure. What it amounts to is this: Most families can have an abundance of running water at a cost of less than $1 per month for electricity and thereby make their home a more enjoyable place to live.
Washington Senior 4-H club met Thursday, May 14, at the high school. Jacob Sisk presided. Delegates elected to attend camp were Caroletta Gough and Faye Black. Those planning to attend Short Course are Kelly Updike, Newbill Miller, John Turner, Lelia Gentry, and Archie Bailey.
Share the Fun Contest was discussed and Betty Rutherford, Kelly Updike, Frances Walker, Georgia Staridish, Jacob Sisk, Lelia Gentry, Winfrey Thornhill, Faye Black, Grace Anderson, Caroletta Gough and Pauline Jenkins said they would work on acts. Betty Johnson has agreed to be mistress of ceremonies.
The club has arranged with Mr. Profitt to hold services for Rural Life Sunday.
