Ladies’ Auxiliary Meeting
The regular monthly meeting of the Amissyille Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary was held last Wednesday evening with Mfs Sarah Jenkins, president. Mrs. Helen Williams, president of the Ladies Auxiliary ©f the State Firemen’s Association, was the guest speaker for the night. She was accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Travis, better known as “Mother Travis.” She is the founder of the State Auxiliary. Mrs. Sims, president of the Bailey Cross Roads Auxiliary also made a very interesting talk to the group. A discussion was held on having a bake sale at the firehouse in Warrenton, June 20.
The auxiliary reports that they have one new member, Mrs. Allen Cooper of Viewtown. This makes a total of 58 members.
The meeting adjourned with the idea in mind of being able to hold the next meeting in the firehouse.
