“Red Oak-Johnsons” Meet
For Family Re-Union
Fifth Sunday, August 30, has 'been set by the “Red Oak Johnson” as family gathering day. Members of the clan gather annually at the fire tower on Red Oak mountain, near Woodville, to greet their cousins, meet the new in-laws, and enjoy the eating contest.
A feature of this year’s re-union will be distribution of copies of the beginning of a collected history of the family. In a stage described as “unfinished,” the history is an attempt to assemble a genealogy whereby the members of the clan can try to keep up with what kin who is to who.

Children’s Riding Classes
Hold “Pony Parties” _
At leeway Farm
The RappahannoSk Hunt, as an educational program, will sponsor a series of Pony Rides and Horsemanship Classes at Leeway Farm beginning Saturday, August 22, at 2:30 in the afternoon.
With a primary purpose to promote interest among the youngsters in riding and hunting, the Rappahannock Hunt is encouraging children to enter the Ponies Parties. There is no fee charged and light refreshments will <be served.
The Rappahannock Hunt has requested that all children interested in horses and hunting will be present at the Pony Parties and take part in the riding.
