Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Appleton of Falls Church were guests recently of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gough. Sunday guests in the Gough home were Mrs. Carroll Dennis and daughter, Caroyn of Falls Church, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Lee of Arlington and Mrs. Lee’s sistel of Florida.

Mr. and Mrs. Wade H. Massie Jr. arid son, Tom, returned Friday from a trip to relatives in Qyde, N.C. While away they toured 250 miles of Skyline Drive, visited Blowing Rock, Mount Mitchell and Cherokee, whre they attended the pageant “Unto These Hills.”

Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller were dinner guests Friday evening of Dr. and Mrs. W. L. Wake. Mrs. D. C. Link and family, D C Jr, Danny and Margaret were luncheon guests on Friday of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller at Maple Springs.

Friday afternoon, Mrs. C. T. Bruce, Mrs. D. D. Miller, Newbill Miller and Neisser Nayana Pradisdh and Sanchan Nirandara of the Royal Thai Embassy, Washington, D. C, were in Charlottesville. Miss Pradish, who is spending the summer with the D. D. Millers, will enter Grier School, Tyrove, Pa. this fall, and Miss Nirandara, who is spending the summer at Jackson Hill with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bruce will return to Mount V'ernon School, Washington, D. C., where she will enter her senior year.

Mrs. C. T. Bruce, Mrs. B. M. Miller, Mrs. J. W. Price and Mrs. D, D. Miller attended the bridge -party given by Mrs. Fred Schaefer Thursday evening.

Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mrs. J. W. Price, Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller and son, Newbill attended Emmanuel Episcopal church for the eleven o’clock service on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Lillard of Luray were Friday guests of Mr. Lillard’s sster, Mrs. Kate Petty and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Petty of “Avon Cottage.”

Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Narde of Oella, Maryland arrived Monday for a visit of several days with the Petty’s.

Friday night guests of Dr. and Mrs. W. L. Wake were Mr. and Mrs. Berrotel of Richmond.

Sunday guests of Mrs. W. L. Keyser and Joseph D. Keyser at Mt. Pleasant were Dr. J. S. Dejamette, Mrs. R. Hopkins and Miss Minerva Rossen of Stanton, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Light and three children, Eva, Caroline and Elliott of Mabeline, R. E. Miller Jr., of Richmond and Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Keyesr.

Mr. and Mrs. B. N. Eubank of Roanoke are spending some time this week at “Delamore,” the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones. Mrs. J Frank Jones returned home with them after being in Roanoke for a few weeks.

Mrs. J. M. Lillard and Mrs. Guy Burke were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Edmonds and family of Front Royal on Thursday evening.

Mrs. Walker B. Jenkins and her grandson, Ronnie Thornhill are the guests this week of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel A. Jacobs at their home at Castleton.
