Mr. and Mrs. J. Ri Shade and son of Fredericksburg were guests for the week end of Mrs. Shade’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Dwyer.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Martin and baby son of Martinsburg, were weekend guests of Mrs. A M. Welch.

Mrs. Fannie Kendall Mitchell and son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Mitchell of Richmond spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman and Mrs. Mary C. Brown. Week-end guests in the Chapman home were Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Wake and son, “Chappie,” Mr. and Mrs. John Miller and son, Jackie of Salnda. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Chapman and daughter and son, Patricia Chapman and Donald of Arlington joined the family for a day’s visit.

Mrs. R. E. Wood spent last Tuesday in Washington, D. C. Miss Eda Finks and her guest, Miss Ruth Todd were dinner guests on Thursday of Miss Eunice Maddox in Culpeper.

Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Buckner and John Buckner entertained at a picnic dinner on Sunday at their Mountain* Farm having as their guests, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Pillar and daughter, Miss Peggy Pillar, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood and Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt Richards of Winchester.

Mrs. Annie Taylor Bruce, who has been spending the past two weeks in Front Royal,* has returned to the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Brown.

Guests in the home for the past week of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor were their daughters, Mrs. Thomas Cozzo and Miss Joan Kelly Aylor of Washington, D. C. On Friday Dickie Streit of Winchester came for a visit with his cousin, Ranny Aylor. . Paul Stone spent from Thursday to Monday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor where he was a guest of Ralph Strawn.

Dr. and Mrs. John P. Snead and their daughter, Miss Betty Snead and Miss Marjorie Snead are vacationing at Atlantic City for ten days.

Miss Louise Schwartz and Miss Elizabeth Fuss returned on Saturday after a week’s outing on the Chesapeake Bay. —------- —

Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Kibler returned home recently after a few weeks visit with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Colier Fox in Luray.
