4-H fair To Be Held At
High School, Saturday
A 4-H Fair and Heifer Show .win be held at the Rappahannock High School, Saturday^ October 3 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. All 4-H exhibits will 'be entered Friday evening or Saturday morning from 8-10 a.m.
While the judges are at work, contestants will enter: rooster race, greasy pig, or 3 legged race. In the aftemon similar events will be in progress.-Master of ceremonies for the evening entertainment is W. H. Lyne. Events during evening beginning at 7:30 are: Contents of handbag, horn bloWing (each contestant bring own ■ horn), cracker eating (ages 8-10), Make up artists (high school boy or girl, patch sewing (man and wife). Presentation of awards at . 8:30— Betty Rutherford and Kelly Updike. * From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. the following booths -will be open—pop corn, fish pond, ring toos, bingo, milk bottles, hats, horns and balloons and the food stand. The Home Demonstration members also will be selling home made cakes, pies, cookies, etc. _4-H members may enter exhibits in 4-H projects carried beginning September 1952. Cash awards will be given in each department. Any person desiring a catalog contact the extension office.' >
Everyone is invited to come to see exhibits and enter into the “fun” at the fair.
