Mrs. Aubrey Bowie
Mrs. Robert Stringfellow Bowie, widow of Aubrey Bowie, died at her home in Culpeper, Saturday, June 5, after an illness of less than twelve hours. .. Mrs. Bowie, daughter of the _ late Bruce W. Stringfellow and Sarah Broadus, his wife, was bom February 3, 1877 at “Ashleigh,” _the_family home in Culpeper * County. She is survived by a son, Bruce S. Bowie, of Rappahannock ; two daughters, Misses Burma and Lucy Catherine Bowie, of Culpeper; two sisters and . a brother, also of Culpeper.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from her home in Culpeper with Reverend W. F. Cale and Dr. J. T. Edwards conducting the service. Pallbearers were William H. Martin and W. D. Reams of Culpeper, and C. T. Bruce, E. M. Jones, C. E. Johnson, Jr., and Gibson Wharton, of Rappahannock.
