In "his letter of resignation Col. Capcrton, who returned home from Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D. C. a few days ago, offered to continue serving in an advisory capacity. This offer was gratefully accepted. Caperton and President Tear have been the workhorses of the department since its beginning, in administrative affairs.
Capt. Stuart, reporting only one additional donation of $5 from Jane Durham of Hume in the department's drive for funds for a new fire engine, again called for more action to build up the department’s financial position.
