In the last month several events have taken place that are very important to the Rappahannock 4-H Club bpys. The Rappahannock County Sears, Roebuck Pig Chain was judged for the second time by Ralph Westing, Extension Swine Specialist from VPI. All the hogs in the- chain are registered purebred Poland China wifh litters. The Flint Hill 4-H’ers were awarded prrizes at a banquet given by the Sears Roebuck at Warrenton for-this good work in carry- ; ing for the hogs this year. Ivory 'Atkihs,Jr.receivedf6phonoTsbest
sow and litter. Eddie Sutphin won second prize and $25 and Glen Updike won third prize and $15. and Charles Leake won $10 and the 4th prize ribbon. The scores were very close and* all of these boys shbuld be congratulated for their fine work. --
