In 12-Inning Game ,

By the narrow margin of one run, the Rappahannock Chiefs defeated the Flint Hill Athletic Club in a 12 inning “anybody’s -game,” Sunday afternoon on the Chiefs’ diamond. A record crowd was scattered over the field to watch the two county teams compcat for the winning rpn which would throw one into third standing in the Shenandoah League.

Ned Settle of the Chiefs made a double in the first inning to bring in Pete Clater for the initial run of the game. R. Clater singled, sending Ned Settle over the home plate. Elmer Foster, with a long trible to right, brought in Roxy Clater for the third run.

“Punk” Pullen led the Athletic Xlub with 4 hits out of 6 at bats. In the fourth inning Pullen and Foster were safe on errors, when Bob Cook singled, bringing in Foster and Pullen* , :
