Mitchell Green, runner-up in a close election for fire chief, was chosen as first captain of the department. Floyd Hitt was elected second captain over Thomas Stover who was then named first ~ lieutenant, and Fred Cooke was made second lieutenant. _ L -

Donald Liscomb, J. T. Dwyer, and Kelly Updike will represent the Rappahannock Chapter of the Future Farmers of America at a Rally at VPI June 14 through June 17. Kelly will be awarded the State Farmers Degree in FFA. This is a unique honor which has been achieved by only 15 os 20 youths in Northern Virginia.
Donald, J. T., and Kelly arts entered in the Livestock Judging Contest. They were first chosen, to represent their county, on their , ability to judge‘livestock, which, ability has been exhibited on various occasions in this section.
