Pfc. John Walker Jenkins, son of Mrs. Luther Jenkins of Sperryville, has recently completed his basic training at Camp Gordon, Georgia and is now stationed at ,Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Pfc. Jenkins is a member of the second Field Artillery Battalion. Shortly after his duty in Georgia, he arrived home for a brief visit with his mother. He and his wife are now making their home near the base in Oklahoma. -
HONORED AT PARTY
Miss Mary Miller Wood was honored at a surprise party given her by the faculty of Sperryville Elementary School recently. A lovely piece of baggage was presented Miss Wood by her friends. Miss Wood will leave for her teaching position in Canada sometime in the month of August. V,,^ ;
