Amissville has not only a fine fire house with hall for dinners, dancing, etc; a well equipped kitchen and toilets; the old fire truck and the ancient pumper; they have also”'a"'recently delivered but as yet unpaid for new, modern, front mounted pump, American Fire Apparatus Co. manufactured, fire truck.
All of the above has been accomplished by the generosity of many plus the success of their two festivals held in the Septembers of 1952 and 1953.
Their 1954 festival will be held on 23, 24, and 25 September and the Department is earnestly hoping for good weather and heavy patronage from neighboring pommunities to aid them in meeting the obligation placed upon them by the new truck pictured above.
