Middletown took a first inning lead of 2 runs when Dickson and Clem singled and Perkins brought them in with a double.
A series of singles by Ned Settle,—Charles Dodson. Roxie Clater, and John Turner moved the Chiefs into a 2-2 tie in their frame of the second. The third saw theqi surging ahead when Buck Clater walked, Elmer Foster advanced him with a single and C. Dodson hit safely scoring Clater.
Both sides failed to score in the fourth. A double by R. Clater in the top of the fifth scored Miller and Dodson, who had gained base on singles and an error.
Action was slow until the seventh when the A. C. tied the score by bringing in 3 runs on singles by Hadley, Ballowe and Dickson and 2 errors by the Chiefs.
Roxie Clater’s double in the night drove in Settle with the winning run as the A.C.’s went down 1, 2, 3. John Turner was relieved by Jackie Sisk in the seventh. Sisk was credited with the win. Middletown too changed pitchers in the seventh with Judy replacing Ballowe and finishing the game.
