Robert K. Kennedy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Waver W. Kennedy, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Aylette H. Buclcner II and their son, Aylette Buckner III last Saturday on a trip to “Monticello.”

Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Wharton moved from Slate Mills this week to a place near Woodville.

Mr. and Mrs. George A. Nethers were dinner guests Saturday evening of Mfcs Bettye Hitt and Mrs. Mattie Snellings in Culpeper.

Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Petty of Richmond drove their mother, Mrs. Lily Fisher, up to Slate Mills on Saturday where she will be a house guest of her sister, Mrs. Jennie and Miss Lizzie Miller.

Miss Jean Kilby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. Stonewall Kilby, had as her guests for the day on Sunday, Miss Joyce Burke. ~

Charles Waite and his daughter, Miss Crimora of Culpeper were Sunday callers of Mrs. O. G. Flippen and Mrs. Thomas M. Henry of “La Grange” who are entertaining as their house guests, Mrs. John B. Sparrow of Martinsville and Mrs. Van Manning of Greenwich, Conn.

On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Campbell Hitt and their daughter, Miss Betty were among those who attended the annual gathering at historic Germanna Ford.

Mr. and Mrs. L. Reginald Hudson spent the day Sunday with the Misses Hitt in Sperryville.

Dr. and Mrs. R. W. Quaintance accompanied their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Barton P. Quaintance of Fredericksburg on a trip Sunday to Harpers Ferry and other nearby points of interest in West Va.

Mrs. Robert Brown enjoyed a visit Sunday from Mr. and Mrs. Roy Brown of Stevensburg.

Mrs. Carson Guffy of Salisbury who has been visiting her brotherin-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dickensheets, returned Tuesday, to her home in North Carolina.

Mr. and Mrs. George Thornhill enjoyed visits on Sunday from Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Tyson, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Tyson, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Allison and Miss Shirley Lynch of Richmond, Mrs. M. K. Norris and Mrs. Sam O’Bannon of Rixeyville, Mrs. Fred Greene of Culpeper, Mr, and Mrs. W. W. Curtis of Arlington, Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Weaver of Marioa and Mrs. Charles Dodson of Culpeper. Qn Monday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Alec Buckner called on the Thornhills. '
