Coldiron, Resident Engineer, issued a invitation to the members of the board to attend a Highway Conference, convening on October 6, 7, and 8. Supervisors Buckner and Latham accepted the invitation and will attend one or more days of the convention.

Chairman Cook asked Mr. Coldiron about the road situation at Reager School, and after brief discussion, a resolution was presented by Campbell and seconded by Buckner that the road be maintained by the Highway Department. Supervisors Latham and Buckner also brought up road problems in their district which had previously been discussed with Mr. Coldiron.

Harry Williams was compensated $160 on a sheep claim for 8 sheep.

This concluded the longer matters discussed by Supervisors Cook, Latham, Buckner Estes and Campbell.

“Skippy” Giles Hurt As Bike Skids ,

“Skippy” Giles was injured last Monday when his bike skidded on loose gravel, throwing him to the road. He was treated for a deep cut below the knee and remained as a patient in the Winchester Memorial Hospital for 2 days. The accident occurred in front of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hawkins* home on Wheeler Street. “Skippy” is now home and feeling much better.
